Sunrock, the leading European developer of photovoltaic systems for large-area roofs, has been appointed by Nuveen Real Estate to develop solar roof installations on seven logistics assets in Germany.
The buildings will be equipped with PV systems this year, with a total output of 14.9 MWp. Three of these buildings are in Bremen (totalling 3.3 MWp), one in Neuruppin (3.1 MWp), one in Kamp-Lintfort (3.4 MWp), one in Wunstorf (1.3 MWp) and one in Magdeburg (3.8 MWp). These seven projects in Germany correspond to the annual energy requirements of around 8.000 households and a saving of approximately five tons CO2 per year.
This appointment follows a similar mandate for six assets in the Netherlands, in Waddinxveen, Oosterhout, Ridderkerk, Oirschot, Apeldoorn and Berkel en Rodenrijs with the potential to also start work on the first project development in Valence, France, soon.
