At Sunrock we believe we can only speak of green energy if the solar park can also be sustainably integrated into the landscape and ecological system. The solar park in Hoofddorp is a succesful example. We partnered with landscape architects IKL in search of a way to blend the park into the surroundings. Key to our approach was the visual appeal of the park and biodiversity enhancements. The result is a solar park that is organically embedded into existing ecological zones, boosting local flora and fauna. With this park, Hoofddorp has taken the next step into making the Netherlands more sustainable, and that’s something we at Sunrock are very proud of.
