Solar park Roodehaan supplies 3,500 homes with green energy, cutting back carbon emissions by 6 gigatonnes a year. The solar park has thin-film solar panels, which can generate energy even with little sunshine. The park is seamlessly blended into the countryside: the ditch has been kept intact so that the neighbour’s sheep can graze between the solar panels.
