Sunrock and BGRE have signed a three-year framework agreement to assess the potential of approximately 135 MWp of solar capacity and integrated energy solutions across more than 30 properties in Germany, France and the Netherlands. The aim is to future-proof BGRE’s European logistics portfolio.
Amsterdam, 05 October 2026
Sunrock and BGRE have signed a three-year framework agreement to explore the potential for 135 MWp of solar capacity and integrated energy solutions across logistics and industrial properties in Germany, France and the Netherlands. The joint approach goes beyond individual photovoltaic projects and aims to further develop the energy supply of the properties over the long term.
Under the framework agreement, the technical and economic feasibility of photovoltaic systems and other integrated energy solutions across the portfolio will be assessed. This includes exploring opportunities for energy hubs and increasing the local use of renewable electricity generated on site. The framework also aims to progress suitable opportunities towards concrete, project-specific development agreements.
The collaboration brings together Sunrock’s expertise in developing integrated solar energy systems with BGRE’s European real estate portfolio. It reflects Sunrock’s commercial strategy to establish long-term relationships with customers across
markets, developing tailored integrated energy solutions that respond to the specific needs of their assets and operations. The companies will work closely together, combining an international approach with local expertise to account for the different market conditions and requirements in Germany, France and the Netherlands.
“Collaborating with BGRE provides an opportunity to address the energy transition in the logistics real estate sector at a portfolio level. By combining international scale with local expertise, we can look beyond individual photovoltaic projects and develop integrated energy solutions at a broader scale. This includes exploring opportunities to increase the local use of renewable energy and develop energy concepts tailored to the specific requirements of each property and its occupants,” says Bram Poeth, CEO of Sunrock.
Alexandre Ohanian, Director Development, Logistics Europe, BGRE, adds:
“Our collaboration with Sunrock provides a framework for systematically exploring the energy potential of our logistics portfolio in Germany, France and the Netherlands. Sunrock’s innovative approach to energy solutions gives us a solid basis for developing these opportunities further. Through close cooperation and a structured assessment of individual opportunities, we aim to implement solutions that contribute to the long-term sustainability and future readiness of our assets.”
