Sunrock secures EUR 110 million financing facility with Crédit Agricole CIB to support solar growth in France

Sunrock and Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank (CA-CIB) have reached financial close on a EUR 110 million green financing for Sunrock’s rooftop solar portfolio in France. The financing comprises a EUR 50 million term loan facility, together with an accordion feature of up to EUR 50 million, and supports the financing of commercial and industrial solar PV projects.

The transaction establishes a dedicated financing framework to support the continued expansion and operation of Sunrock’s French solar portfolio. The financing has been structured as a green loan and aligned with the EU Taxonomy framework, reflecting the renewable energy nature of the underlying assets and incorporating clear sustainability reporting and monitoring requirements.

Both teams worked closely to address commercial, legal and operational topics in a pragmatic and constructive way to establish a financing structure suited to Sunrock’s activities in France. Sunrock looks forward to build on this partnership as the French portfolio develops further. De Pardieu acted as lenders’ legal counsel and A&O Shearman as borrower’s legal counsel.

Bram Poeth, CEO of Sunrock, said:

“This green financing is more than a financial milestone. It is a strong endorsement of our strategy and our ambition to accelerate the energy transition in France. With this foundation in place, we can continue investing in high-quality rooftop solar assets that help our customers decarbonise while strengthening Europe’s energy resilience. We greatly appreciate the transparent and constructive cooperation with CA-CIB and are excited to continue working together in the years ahead.”
