Walk the talk
We genuinely LOVE making impact. For Sunrock, making impact exceeds compliance. We do not just tick all the boxes, we go up and beyond them. Here’s what we’ve been up to lately.
The afterlife of solar panels
The afterlife of solar panels
In our partnership with ZonNext, we re-use solar panels that somehow don't meet the requirements of the park anymore. We offer them a new, social destination. For example, at schools and soccer clubs. Damaged solar panels go to Reiling for recycling of the raw materials.
Definitely B corp, we are
Definitely B corp, we are
Since ‘24 we are able to officially call ourselves B Corp. A certification that does not come lightly. We got it! But do we brag about it? Just a tiny bit. Most of all, we see it as a starting point for becoming even better at being B!
Visiting our suppliers in China
Visiting our suppliers in China
Seeing is believing. In ‘24, we visited our key manufacturers in China. We needed to learn more about (PV) component production, materials and processes. And yes: we wanted to discuss their current and future commitment to our ESG goals.
Let’s feed the bees
Let’s feed the bees
The Pollinators organize activities to increase biodiversity and create more habitable space for insects. In ‘23, Sunrock teamed up and supported the Pollinators in their efforts to reverse the tide on our volunteering day.
The Uyghur perspective
The Uyghur perspective
We deeply value stakeholder engagement. In Spring 2024, we invited the Dutch Uyghur Human Rights Foundation, alongside our suppliers, financial partners, and industry peers. The conversation provided valuable insights into the challenges faced by the Uyghur community and the broader impact of the PV industry.
Teaming up for Mlambe hospital
Teaming up for Mlambe hospital
Sopowerful develops solar projects for communities that have limited access to electricity. Sunrock supported the development of a PV installation at the Mlambe hospital in Malawi. It treats over 47.000 patients a year and can now rely on sufficient electricity supply during operating hours.

We consistently provide proof to back up our promises. For those interested in the facts and figures, here is the official data and an engaging report detailing what we’ve accomplished over the past few years. Additionally, you’ll find our widely adopted supplier code of conduct—feel free to borrow it; the more, the merrier!
Social safety
When something is off, we want to make that right. Consequently, we want to know what’s going on and what’s going wrong, so we can learn, solve and prevent misconduct. Whatever has raised your concerns, please let us know. Anybody who experiences or witnesses misconduct can file a report. From Sunrockers to (workers of our) contractors/suppliers, consultants or job candidates. Visit our whistleblowing platform to report your concern.
