Sunrock accelerates the energy transition with clean energy solutions for logistics and industry. Founded in 2012, we have grown into a leading European developer of integrated energy systems. We enable owners and users of logistics and industrial real estate to move forward in a smart, secure, and sustainable way in line with their growth ambitions. The acquisition by COFRA in 2020 has empowered us to increase our scope and impact, and in 2024, we proudly achieved B Corp certification. Driven by transparency and trust, we work together with our customers and partners towards a clean energy future.

Business history
Sunrock was founded in 2012 and has emerged as a leading European developer of integrated clean energy systems. We’re well on our way to realising over 1 GWp of operational rooftop solar projects, with an additional 1 GWp in development. Over the years, we’ve extended our presence into Germany and France, and accelerated our growth in 2020 by joining forces with COFRA. In 2024, we became B Corp certified.
Our experienced project developers, finance professionals, asset managers, IT specialists and project managers are working together on next-generation clean energy systems.

Powering Picnic’s Operations with 100% Local Solar Energy
Sunrock has delivered a 1.6 MWp rooftop solar PV system at Picnic’s fully automated distribution center in Dordrecht, marking the first completed project under our European partnership with the fast-growing online supermarket.
A limited grid energy solution for grid congestion at Halfweg
Sunrock has implemented an innovative energy solution for the Loods5 distribution center and office in Halfweg, The Netherlands, allowing the building to be delivered to developer Sunrise Real Estate months ahead of schedule.
